11 steps to guarantee satisfaction in your new custom home

Step 1: Make your wish list

What square footage are you looking for? 3 or 4 bedrooms? Patio or deck? Sliding doors or french doors? Covered porch, granite countertops, whirlpool tubs, hardwood and ceramic tile flooring. List all of those items that will make you smile.

Step 2: Schedule a consultation

Sit down with one of our professional sales consultants who will get together with you at your convenience, morning, afternoon or evening hours. Time of appointment set to meet your specific needs.

Step 3: Choose your dream home style

Ranch, bi-level, Cape Cod, or 2-story style home. We offer over 100 plans to choose from or bring us your own plans. Our team will also help you with determining the cost to build and inform you of any current offered subsidized allowances.

Step 4: Complete the paperwork

Sign your contract and learn of the variety of mortgage options to suit your own specific needs. We will work with your personal bank or assist you in obtaining conventional financing with proven strategic lending options.

Step 5: Customize your home

Including colors, interior & exterior amenities, appliances, and windows. Hold samples of products in your hands to visualize and feel a sense of how this will be in your custom Bastian Homes built home.

Step 6: Site inspection

Our experienced construction and sales team members visit your land to determine lot characteristics and exact home placement.

Step 7: Pre-construction

This is the last “planning meeting” before we start construction of your custom built Bastian home. Communication is #1 and our team will meet and review all details related to your new home crafted exclusively for you and your family. 

Step 8: Construction Phase 1

Excavation of land and foundation installation.

Step 9: Construction Phase 2

Home under roof, interior wall framing done and now windows and doors are installed. Siding or stone add to curb appeal and charm.

Step 10: Construction Phase 3

Plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall, and flooring.

Step 11: Settlement and 1st day in your new home

Receive your final settlement sheet, warranty forms and guidelines to home ownership and the keys to your new home. Welcome Home!
